I trip to Asheville via Charlotte.

I had to stop in and see Bruce.

Charlotte has the best graffiti I've seen in NC.

This is how I imagine all fire stations should be.

At one point we got kind of turned around down in NoDa.

Awesome mural.

Just awesome.

Now it's time to head back into the mountains.

The grittier side of camp life.

Camp ivy

Why I miss working at a summer camp.

Asheville fireworks. Goodtimes.

A true American patriot.

This one reminds me of space.

Something about fireworks makes me feel like a 10 year old. Always amazed.

The next morning I walked around downtown and found this alley way. Someone has put their heart into this.

Asheville.

Beginnings.

Well I find myself at a crossroads right now. I've been out of college for a year and a few weeks. I love my job. I'm getting ready to start on my masters degree. Life is good. Not like those t-shirts, but as in it could be a lot worse. I'm trying really hard to not get complacent about things and stayed inspired. I've lately become interested in Americana. I find that the things that stick around and were made to last hold qualities that attract me. I know that "heritage" is the "in" thing now, but I want to take it a step further and explore my heritage. Along the way I plan to post pictures, interviews, observations, and anything else that I feel suits my purpose for this project. Thanks for visiting.
